Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I found the original H7 Porsche headlights were not illuminating well in the back roads in NC and decided to change to the Hoen xenonmatch which gave the car a nice xenon look but yet were not bright enough and probably less than the original. Hoen states a 15% less luminance. I purchased the Phillips X-treme from autolamps-online.com and will like to show you the amassing difference compared to the Hoen. First is the image with Hoen and next the Phillips with night shots and no flash photography. The price of the Phillips including shipping was $61. I resized the images for a larger picture when you click on them. Look at the second picture with the Phillips and notice all the trees that were missing to the left on the original picture, it is incredible the increase in field of vision.

POST 2Original post

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but are these upgrades for the standard Halogen lights or replacement Xenon bulbs?

POST 3Original post

These are standard replacements for H7 halogen lights.

POST 4Original post

You did the right thing All halogen bulbs are not the same. If you get that colored stuff, they always throw off less light. The optimum bulbs are Phillips visionplus, the REAL Osram Silverstars (from Europe, not the US version) and the like. Its because of the QC on bulbs. They pick out the bulbs that maximize the output for the 55w output. See http://danielsternlighting.com/products/products.html and while there, check out the myths about the other stuff hyped on the marketplace.

POST 5Original post

I put the Phillips X-treme 80% ones in a few weeks back, while they are not quite 80% more they are a noticeable increase.
