Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys. A rather annoying thing happened and a person gave my front bumper a bang. 996, 2000. Would anyone recommend what to do next? It's ok, it'll need paint and a fix but should I go for an upgrade? My car I've kept standard (Carrera 2) for 14 years; always fearful of modifying. It might give me a kick up the booty to do something with it. Thanks!

POST 2Original post

Personally I'd keep it stock, maybe add a GT3 lip (which you could have colour coded if you want to feel better about the paint). It'd look funny with only an upgraded front PU though IMHO.

POST 3Original post

Sorry to hear about your mishap - I've just had one with my daily driver. Personally the only 'upgrade' I would fit in your position would be a genuine GT3/aero bumper. I think you'd have to fit the aero sideskirts too for it to look well considered.

POST 4Original post

I only ever really like the OEM upgrades, having said that, the Prior-Design's PD1 bumper I do like. I saw one on a silver car and it looked great.
