Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Speaking to someone earlier about said wheels and he said he has a set that has a front centre on a rear barrel. The stamp shows an 8in on the rear. Are the centres exactly the same apart from the stamping at the valve hole? I thought the would be different. He said they have been like that for 6 years since he has had the car.

POST 2Original post

No they're not the same and it's important that they're correct! The rear centres are beefed up to bear the extra weight from the engine, the front centres are lighter: you can feel and see as they're fluted on the back of the spokes. I had a job a couple of years ago where a customer unknowingly had one side of the car fitted the wrong way round, it would have driven awfully as the offsets are different, crabbing along like a twisted chassis!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Spot on, didn't think so as they wouldn't be marked up as such. I'll let him know.
