Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Just spotted this on Pistonheads. Makes interesting reading. Good news for the Yanks but not ROW! http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=48&t=1261448&mid=0&nmt=Porsche++class+action+settlement+in+US+re+IMS+failures

POST 2Original post

would that mean a pre 2001 car is not affected by ims failure or just not covered ? not that it makes much odds to us in europe ! the lawsuit that is. 75pno

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Porsche just not liabable because age of cars are outside scope of judgement. 2006-2009 997's were fitted with a larger IMS bearing and although they still have failures are considered outside scope of class action.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
