Just noticed this the other day but when I’m driving and shift into 3rd gear I get a slight stutter around 2800rpms. It’s very faint but I can notice it. Then each gear after it’s normal. I have a 6 speed Cayman S (2007). Any ideas what it could be?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I wouldn't call mine a stutter, but I have a noticeable flat spot in the torque curve around that RPM. Most noticeable if you are accelerating about medium aggressive. However I'm a 2.7 so I don't know if the bigger motor has a similar curve.
The M97 engines all have that flat spot, it's just before the VarioCam kicks in. I wouldn't call it a stutter, though.
