Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

On driving the 996 home yesterday I noticed that everytime I approached a speed camera (fixed) a high pitched tone would ommit from the left hand side of the car (there is a sort of speaker on the verticle bit of the dash beside the passenger A pillar) this sound would get louder if I didn't slow down to below the speed limit. There is nothing visile and its very annoying. Is it standard fit or has a previous owner added it? No paperwork for it in the history file? seve

POST 2Original post

The previous owner had one of those tracker devices with the GPS speed audio warning option activated. If you look through the documentation you might find which one it was, don't be surprised if it stops making that noise in the next few days/weeks.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I dug around abit in te paperwork file and came accross a booklet titled "NAVTECH" its just a user license agreement and doesn't say what it actually is though? I'll ask the dealer to contact the previous owner and find out what it is? If its a tracker then thats great! Steve
