I've been looking at doing a deal with a chap for a set of Porsche Design split rims. The fronts are 8.5" with a 52 offset. Does anyone know if these will fit my lowly 3.4 carrera? Ta

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Facelift cars had 8.0" ET 50 or 52 fronts, and 5mm spacers were also allowed. 8.5" ET 52 would stick out another 8mm. I would have thought you would get away with it, but also bear in mind it will affect the handling - how much is difficult to say. Also, beng non-standard, there could (possibly) be insurance issues. I would say keep looking for the correct size. If they do scrub the arches it could be an expensive mistake.
