Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I would like to fit an exauhst on my 996tt - love the car but the sound is a bit muted. So far, from what Ive seen I like two options > Miltek or the PSE. If I go to an OPC do they still fit the PSE for a 996 ? If so, more or less what cost ? I want something that growls a bit more at low revs and sounds sportier at high revs but I dont want my ears to bleed - afterall , the 996tt is my daily driver and my transeuropean cruiser. I took TUBI off the equation since many owners reported very high pitch and failed db tests at trackdays - I would like something that sits on the low side of the 105db. Cheers in advance, Goncalo Proenca

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

by the way - if someone has a 996tt with PSE/Miltek/Tubi around London ( better yet, Canary Wharf ) and wants to take me for a 5 minute drive, I would be most appreciated !

POST 3Original post

Do Porsche have an OEM PSE for the Turbo? Think PSE is only for the normally aspirated

POST 4Original post

Correct. There is no PSE for the 996tt :x Cargraphic do a decent one with a nice little ECU tweak to take the car to just under 500bhp. Try Parr in Crawley for details.

POST 5Original post

Tubi and Capristo have started doing switchable systems of their own, which may be the answer. Probably expensive though... I'd be inclined to give Miltek a try on the basis that they are a UK firm, and may mod the exhaust for you if you're not satisfied.
