Hi, Took the car out after two weeks of it not moving, after about 20-25mins decided to stretch its legs a little and on changing gears at one point I got a fairly large plume of blueish smoke, couldn't get it to do it again. Oil pressure is around 1.5 at idle, 3 at about 2000rpm and gets to about 4.5 when accelerating hard. Have read a couple of threads on other forums that say it probably isn't anything to worry about, any thoughts ? Thanks in advance, Adam.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Blue smoke is generally associated with burning oil Adam. It's probable that some oil collected in the bores while your car was laid-up for a couple of weeks (one of the downsides of the flat-6 arrangement) and it took a little while to work its way through the system when you were out driving. I wouldn't have thought that it's anything to worry about unless it occurs on a regular basis. Jeff
Thanks for the reply, hopefully nothing to worry about and will keep an eye on it. Thanks Adam.
