Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all My remote key fob is draining its CR2032 battery within 5 hours. Since it's issue I was getting a few days out a battery but now it's just a matter of hours. Is this a known issue and can it be repaired? The micro does appear to be returning back to its off position when released, and I have sprayed some contact cleaner on the micro board but hasn't helped. Thanks all👍

POST 2Original post

I've seen it a couple of times and the only fix has been a replacement key fob im afraid .

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Roddy, I see you are up here in scotia Pixels Fixed in East Kilbride can supply and code a new fob for about 150 - he'll do the second for 100 at the same time Did mine after they failed on my 996TT - really nice bloke as well He also does road trips to fix them en route but you might be easier driving there. He needs the car so he can code the new key in https://pixelsfixed.co.uk/
