Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

17 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Are these bbs wheels with the Porsche cap on them?

POST 11Original post

What are the pros and cons of plasti dip vs powder coat for wheels? I have some BBS wheels on right now but was thinking about making my stock wheels black and throwing them on for the winter

POST 12Original post

Plasti dip is cheap, you can do it yourself, and you don't need to take the tires off! But if you really want black wheels, I would go for the powder coating as it is a definitive solution!

Agreed with prior post. Think of Plastidip as a "try before you buy" option compared to powder coat. I spent $36 on 4 cans plus 1 can of glossifier clear coat. I know it won't last forever and I certainly don't expect it to survive getting new tires. But for not much money it's easy to try out a new look.

Another vote for Plasti-Dip. 3.5 years and counting.
