Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've just installed a third radiator, new water pump, and the LN Engineering 160 deg thermostat. To get access to remove the water pump I had to loosen the four 15mm hex nuts on what the Pelican Parts "101 Projects For Your 911" Project 35 refers to in photo 2 as "Engine Mount Bar". I found what appears to be an answer on Renntech Forum at 63 or 64 ft/lbs but that number seems pretty high and I don't want to risk damage to my block. Can anyone provide some insight as to proper numbers? Help is much appreciated. Thanks,

Hi Jim, Glad to hear that our tech articles are working out for you. I've attached one below that I hope will help you troubleshoot the fix. The article does mention the 'engine mount bar' removal/install. If you need more detailed, tech help; post a Comment just below the article and someone will get back to you shortly with that info. I hope this is useful and best of luck! Porsche 911 Carrera Water Pump and Thermostat Replacement - 996 (1998-2005) - 997 (2005-2012) - Pelican Parts Technical Article -Dmitry
