Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Good Afternoon, I recently purchased an IPD plenum and larger throttle body for my 2001 986 S. It came with a new formed larger air intake tube as well. When I went to look at doing the install I noticed that the stock air intake tube has two sensors on it but the new one does not. Has anyone installed this before and can give me an idea of what to do? Thanks. M

POST 2Original post

Two sensor on your intake tube? Do you have a picture?

POST 5Original post

Ok, these aren't sensors but resonance chambers. It's OK just put the IPD tube and you're good to go!

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I took a photo of my actual engine to be sure. I think it has something to do wi tht tip... Let me know your thoughts.

POST 7Original post

This is the first time I see that. Do you know where is goes? This is not a high vacuum area, so I don't know what it does... You'll have to wait on the more knowledgeable ones here

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Splits off and one end goes to the firewall and the other connects to the intake.
