Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My air con isn't pumping out the ice cold blast it should lately. I phoned my local OPC who said it was £200 for a re-gas. Shocked, I phoned two indies who both quoted £75. I really wanted the OPC to do it because my Targa has a warranty, and if there is a fault in condensers, it would be covered. So I rang them back and queried how they got to £200. Well its £50 for a de-bug to get rid of any microbes, and £150 for the gas. I told them what indies quoted and they said o.k. we will do it for you for £116.33 inc vat. Result!

It was Reading. I always find that it pays to negotiate with them.

POST 4Original post

i have this problem too, isn't it covered by your warranty though?

POST 5Original post

Re-gassing is specifically excluded from being covered by the warranty - so much so it is in the warranty booklet. My problem was not gas but wiring, which they say is wear and tear :nooo:
