Can anyone who might own this title tell me if it lists Porsche part numbers for the various components covered? I'm looking for information on the 2004 Carrera 40th Anniversary model with the X51 powerkit.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

It does not. The PET is the comprehensive part number source. 40th owners might chime in if you tell what items you need to research.

The parts catalog. https://assets-v2.porsche.com/us/-/m...996_05_KATALOG
Thanks for the parts catalog, much appreciated! If I already have the Bentley Service Manual for the 911 Carrera type 996, would it be worthwhile to purchase Porsche 996: The Essential Companion as well?
Try this: https://ifinterface.com/prog/car/cp2/inprog.php Click on CarProg2 link. It is free. Select Porsche and you get everything with updated replacement parts. Much better than the PDF.

Not for the purpose of part numbers or (dis)assembly procedures. For that get the Porsche workshop manual hosted for download (link in a thread on here). The ' companion ' is worthwhile if you want to peruse when which version of body type, style and engine was introduced, option, engine and numbers, colour and interior codes and VIN ranges etc.
This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
