Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was planning on trading or selling my C4S for an aerokit car. Anyone with experience with both or has done the same? I think they are almost about the same value. It's just about finding one. The C4S is a fun car the way I have it setup, but am I missing something? Please share your personal experience if you have done this. *Photo attached of my car.

How about some details on your C4S? Year, miles, options, condition od things like brakes, water-pump, axles & CVs, and other C4S quirks. Service history if available - high points, not everything, mods done, what are the wheels, usual IMS/RMS//Manual/Tip and so on. Bore scoring, leaks, tire year/condition and so on. What kind of money do you think or believe your C4S is worth in the Sell Market? A Trade is n "iffy" thing, so there must be some sort of agreement on value. Sure, your C4S "looks great", but what is there to back up that opinion or casual observation? Anything looks better from 100 feet away if you get my drift. What are you looking at as "comparable" for a trade? A money or value (again) question. I have a 04 C4S (new to me) and it had some "hidden" major defects. While I saw and knew about cracked CV joint boots, they "hid" fretted (think welded) axles to wheel carriers. Small job becomes $$ giant PITA. Just thoughts. So, more details needed to make any sort of judgment. If not, then sell the C4S and go buy whatever else you want. Not my recco, to do. A C4S is not as rare as a GT3, or 40AE, but there were only 17000 made in 2002-2005. It is #3 on collectable-value list. (other experts, auctions, collectors opinions) Very few C4S are listed for sale anywhere in all of USA. I wanted a C4S, I think they are gorgeous. Nothing else in 996 line for me.. If you want an aero-996, is it factory (real) or parts thrown on a regular 996? Looks good, but not the same as original. Value is affected. Think about it. YMMV
