Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, I would like to get an intake kit for my 99 C4. Which is the best kit out there? i've heard people liking the K&N but what about the EVOMS (is the higher price justified?). Any other intake kits which are good for the car? I plan to get an exhaust system and the simtis remap eventually. I know Regal Autosport to a nice package but they do a different remap. Thanks, Lasitha

POST 2Original post

Welcome Lasitha, I have the K&N and am happy, lots of peeps on here have the evoms - common sense tells me there can't be much difference between the two, ie they are both rubber pipes with air filters on the end surounded by housing to keep the warm air out. Power gains are debateable - but combined with a map is worth doing IMHO. I'm sure there was a couple of threads on this the other day, porscheshop do a combined CAI and MAP for a decent rate IIRC Try a forum search for more info - happy reading - Simon
