going through the 'shall I, shan't I' arguement at the mo re OPC warranty. :?: Brought an 04 C4S with 40k miles. Just 250 miles after full big service by OPC where they even had engine out for an 'intermitent misfire on one cylinder'. completely rebuit engine then with all gaskets, seals etc so everything gone over with fine toothcomb at the time. Reckon any probs in next few thousand miles must be covered under warranty on the work carried out then. Think I'm going to wait till next routine service in 12k miles and then take out warranty......???? But of course any non engine parts could go in the meantime..........

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Just get the warranty and drive it like it was supposed to be driven. :thumb:
Yep get the warranty. The saving of £895 is attractive but a couple of rads and othe little things going wrong will cost as much. My C4S is 03 plate with 41,000 on the clock and have bought a warranty in the 3 years of ownership and broke even with little bits and bobs that needed replacing. Plus as the work is done at the OPC I get a nice toy to play with!!!! Had 997 C2S, 997 C4S, Cayenne, Cayman and M5 during my services and warranty work. Looking at the costs of hire you get the money back in that alone Alan
