They are all great colours - go with the one you like best :thumb:
I've just (early May) bought one in Arctic Silver but also liked Midnight Blue or Lapis Blue. But something told me that silver defined the shape of the car and made it look more classy. But a 996 TT or C4s is lovely in any colour really beit black, seal gray, or the various shades of blue!! Red is growing on me now too!! It's your car, just go with what you want!!
If colour is the determinant and you are ambivilent between a turbo and a normally aspirated 996 I wouldnt advise on colour but would strongly suggest you buy the C4S and save many thousands.
In my opinion Artic silver with a dark interior is the best combination for the 996. It is also the most popular for resale!! :thumbs: At the end of the day it is a fantastic car and you have to choose the colour that you like. As everyone says condition is more important, get the best one you can afford. Turbo's are not much more now that C4S and having gone through the same thing a year ago its the turbo every time for me.... I might be slighly biased, mine is arctic silver turbo!! :wink:
I'm going to have to disagree! :hand: The 996 which lacks the curves of the 993 looks better in dark colours (ocean blue or black) but have to agree with Petrolhead, silver is most popular. 4S or TT: that depends on if you want a car that looks like a sports car or is a sports car - "sits back and waits for abuse" :wink:
im curently driving an evo 8 fq360. c4s would be a drop in performance, while tt would be up in runing costs. I think silver sells better because it seems a more easy to get hold of color. black red blue dont seem to be available as much .
ColoUr!!....now there's a topic of conversation...... 8) ..but don't ask me, not with my taste!!
I saw one that colour on the M23 yesterday - looked awesome! But a 993 doesn't need any help in the looks department where as the 996 ......
Agree on the aesthetics - if only it weren't for the dysfunctional ergonomics in RHD form...
ergonomics = porsche :?: :floor:
I've just started a similar thread over on pistonheads actually. Silver is best in my opinion for many reasons. Firstly, it looks good - really suits the car, secondly it is easy to keep clean, thirdly it hides chips and scratches well, and finally as has been said - easy resale. That said, I also really like seal grey, midnight blue and dare I say it... guards red.
Oh, and with regards to the C4s or TT question, I would say get the c4s. The fact that you are even considering it suggests you'd be happy with it, so save the money and go for it. Me on the other hand, I want a TT. End of story!
