Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello, I could see that my front driver outside pad was looking pretty thin. So for fun I decided to go on rockauto and look for some inexpensive pads since i only drive to work and do no track time. So I found these on amazon with free shipping. Centric Part# 102 09160 102. ($23.38) After two days I am pretty happy with them. Seems like they might have more bite than the stock pads. They were a good fit, had the holes for the brake wear sensor ect. I did the usual bedding procedure and nothing caught on fire. After a few days i'll know how much dust they produce, but it can't be much more than the stock pads. You can see pad second from far left is toast. New $23 pads, lol Installed

POST 2Original post

Centric makes good stuff. They are the parent company of StopTech.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Good to know. I can honestly say that I was very impressed with the pads for $23. They fit perfectly and they performed well on many 60-15mph hard stops. My rotors are still thick enough but if the pads ended up melting to the rotors i was ok with getting new rotors etc. But so far, looks like i may get to keep my old rotors for the life of these inexpensive pads.
