Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Another small project Id like to take on this spring is painting the gauge cluster. Is there a way to remove the trim, without removing the entire cluster assembly? This is what Id like to do: current future

POST 2Original post

No. But it is not hard to do. There are multiple good write ups on how to remove the cluster. Takes 10-15 minutes. Just protect the rest of the full leather with a towel first You Tube

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was hoping not to have to remove the entire cluster, but it doesn't look too bad based on this video. Thanks for posting it. I imagine you would place the towel near the lower end of the cluster, so it doesn't scrape when pulling out the bottom, correct?
