Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Any Targa owners experience surface rust like in the pic below, if so whats the best way to remedy. I was tempted to start rubbing it down myself or giving it in to a garage to repaint but someone mentioned that it maybe covered by the main dealer under their corrosion warranty. Anyone had any experience of this? The last two stamps in the service booklet are by a specialist and not main dealer.

POST 2Original post

You need to try the warranty route as the part needs replacing otherwise the rust will be back every couple of years.
