Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Fifty shades of grey
Looks good - is it dipped or wrapped? (I'm making an assumption that you have not completely remanufactured it from actually carbon fibre, if you have then hats off).
That looks great, I had the one on my Cayman painted but had to strip the soft touch paint off first, it wasn't a nice job!
Is the centre console carbon dipped? If so where did you get it done?
It has been done by wicked coatings. Very very nice job and quality is superb. I had a few other bits done as well. The alcantara was done by Royal steering wheels. I had the door arm rests done, gear gaiter and knob retrim, wheel, knee pads and centre arm rest. It's made a huge difference to the interior feel. Sorry the pics are rubbish my phone is getting on a bit, time to upgrade to a better phone/camera methinks. :?:
How are the 987/997 seats in the 996? Easy instal and more comfortable?
They are a nice seat to sit in. Bolt straight in. Electrics are a pain on the driver's side if you go for the fully electric ones as I did. Passenger one is dead easy. Drivers one requires pc board mod and some soldering because on the 997 the seat controls go through an ecu but it's doable. I would fit the partially electric ones with manual lever on the side of the seat. It's a much easier route to go down.
Thanks. It's a tempting mod.
Very nice...temped to having mine done in body colour
Looks great! I have the graphite grey interior too with loads of carbon bits, sadly not including the center console. How does it compare to the genuine bits on the dash?? Wicked coatings are only down the road for me so might well go for this mod.
What's the best way please to remove the coating beforehand..?
