Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Video now working Done a talk/walkthrough video about the car - the good and bad stuff. https://youtu.be/uVLR-xBSH7A Thanks to the feedback, I was able to fix the problem - thankyou now I know why there was so many views and no comments Dan

POST 2Original post

I am selling a car at the moment. I did a 10 minute video going around the car pointing out every little imperfection on it. Plenty of talking and pointing at things. On a 20 year old car it will have minor things. As a buyer I'd rather have a truthful sales pitch. Walking around it with no talking is really of little use to me. MC

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the feedback. And I've found an issue - it would help if I loaded up the correct video FFS. Agreed that a simple walking around a car would be relatively useless 👍 Thankfully there is a lot of talking throughout the vid: talking about what has been done. Including any faults/issues. (little point in obsessing about a couple of stone chips though). I was going to use this in addition to an ad, and of course, the mulitude of documents and photos. No BS, no smoke and mirrors - just what's up with the car I put a bit of music as it was a little boring with just my voice (and the engine start up) Figured it would be something different. VIDEO now working Dan

POST 4Original post

Very nice video. Wish all cars had video like this. Makes buying so much easier. Good stuff :thumb:

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Cheers for that - that's the intention tbh. I remember that I found buying it quite a traumatic experience. I looked at 9 in total, all over the country, but had to rely on the vast array of knowledge on this great forum. FYI, I've just done a total tot-up of the bills. F*CKIN' ELL Excluding the purchase prices, insurance and fuel, in the 22 years, it's racked up £29.6k of bills. £15.6k in my possession It's a really nice spreadsheet of everything from the raft of paperwork I've got. Irritating that I've lost a few pieces of paper (minor stuff), but it's 99.9% there

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

LOL! Did a spreadsheet of the costs to date from the year of purchase (well, out of the warranty and "MOT-free" world)..... £29k of bills. Excluding fuel, tax and insurance Over 1/2 of that in my possession

POST 7Original post

Nice way to do it. Are you selling it or just a video demo? How much are you selling it for and at how many miles was the rebuild? Many thanks :thumb:

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

PM'd. As and when a sale is set up, I'll delete this post/thread, as I don't want to break any forum regs. Right now (8.55pm!) the video is just to show hopefully an effective manner to sell a car Dan

POST 9Original post

There's nothing in this thread or that video that would be breaking forum rules if you decide to sell your car.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Fabbo - didn't want to get in trouble. Just waiting for the new V5 to turn up I'll admit I did get a little emotional when I committed to removing my private plate from the car Soppy tw@t. :floor: Dan
