As some of you may have known I was getting a bit bored with the car. However after a few £££'s spent I am now back in love with it again and will keep it for a while longer. I had considered the Parr option with regards to a remap but ended up going for the Revo option. This combined with a EVOMS V Flow induction kit has made a tad difference. They reckon that the induction kits adds 15 bhp and the remap around 75bhp. As it was a generic remap and not a live one I can't be certain but guess the car is now putting out between 500 and 510 bhp. Have I noticed a difference? Well I haven't stopped smiling all weekend and to say the car is now very quick is an understatement. The boost is now upto 1.1 Bar although I did see 1.2 bar in the wet muggy weather. I was also a little surprissed to have a 4 wheel wheel spin in a straight line in second gear when I booted it. Turbo lag has almost dissappeared and the car feels so much more lively. The next thing I have to do is a brake upgrade. I currently run it on standard discs and pads albeit with 5.1 SRF fluid but will have to stick yellow pagids on it to cope with the extra power. I was concerned about warranty issues but with the Revo you get a nice little bit of kit that fits into the serial port under the glovebox that will return the car to stock come servicing. After servicing just reverse the process and off you go. Having spoken to a friendly OPC technician he said this was the best option and virtually undetectable. Am now looking forward to the Ring trip in 4 weeks time although for some reason Dan no longer wants to do the rolling drag races :floor:

Nice one mate. Now you've got that out of your system, you know you're going to want to go air cooled for the driving experience - nice 993 Turbo Sir? :?:
I can confirm Dave's car is quicker than ever Enjoyed the quick blast out in it yesterday afternoon
Sounds like fun! 8)
so, an exhaust mod or not? apart from the sound improvement, which is a bit subdued on the TT, I got a load of mid range poke just by bolting on a pipe with 200 cell cats.
Exhaust is still standard but with the V Flow it has more bite to it. Will probably fit a Tubi or something similar next year. Will add a little more bhp
I'd do the pipe before the brakes, the only place the tt brakes are lacking a bit is on the track.
Had a ride it Dave's car this afternoon, and MY GOD its quick.. I have been in/driven 100's of car, and this has to be the fastest ! Well done mate, maybe you should get a later eurotunnel and catch us up, save waiting around for us sub 500 BHP boys - opcorn:
Nice one Dave! Might be a little faster than a GT3 now On the subject of brakes, you'll hate Pagid Yellows if you're still doing stop/start town driving as they squeal like Ned Beatty in Deliverance!!! Also Yellows will eat your discs, on my old 4S I complete knackered my fronts in less than 6 months (about 8k miles) with the cracks caused by the aggressive pads. I'd look RS421 initially, with standard on the rear but consider a 6-pot caliper upgrade and PFC/Alcon/Brembo floaters.
No.. After being in the car today and coming into a roundabout a little quick, brakes next ! :drive:
I was told the Gen.II Yellows don't squeal ?
RS29s? They do squeal!!!!!! Like little piggies, as soon as the ceramic get shiny they do that, you need to do a few heavy braking sessions to roughen them up a bit.
Don't want squeally brakes But then again don't want squeally passangers. Dan in all fairness we did come into that roundabout fairly quick and the brakes were fine. It was yesterday after a fair length of spirited driving they began to fade.
Any plans for a bit of track action?
~Ring in 4 weeks But think I could benefit from some tuition Sean Edwards maybe? The car is far more capable than I am.
