Can anyone assist, I have a 996 Tubo cab 2004 with PCM 2, I bought it recently and it has the version 3 software installed it was supplied with a CD map number 996.642.030.02 dated 08/2004 numbered disc CD4 and worked fine in the UK. I recently went to France for the LeMans classic and purchased a second hand disc for France called CD2 dated 08/2003 part number 996.642.030.01. On installation it required its own software update which self installed. Now back in the UK the original disc wont work and I only have main roads installed. Can anyone assist? There appears to be the first European version of maps for the continent with 3 discs and a latter compatible version with 5 discs. It currently keeps asking for the earlier disc CD 3 that is compatible with the UK which I dont posess. Any suggestions? Can I reboot the system in any way or revert to the software on my CD 4 disc? PS The mapping in France was pretty poor!

Does the system still show the operating system as version 3.0? I would be surprised if the 2003 disk downgraded the operating system, as it shouldn't do that. I've got the version 2>3 upgrade disk, and you are welcome to a copy if you want to give it a try. PM me with your email address if you want to give it a go.
