Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well I didn't really think the time would come when I contemplated selling but a major house move and renovation have started to force my hand a little. It may be time for me to pass the 996 into someone else hands to enjoy. I've loved every minute with it and standing underneath it I realised just how good an example it is! I know I'll regret it when it goes but sometimes the bigger picture is more important. Weirdly my other half was tearing up at the thought of me selling !?!? Anyway, if I do sell where's everyone's best opinion of selling ? I'm not on Facebook so I was thinking on Pistonheads and maybe on here (not sure if it works here though as surely most people already are enjoying Porsche's!!)

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Listed on Pistonheads and eBay!?! I'll see what happens this week. Might be keeping it I guess which won't be too painful!!!

POST 3Original post

Pistonheads all the way £30, no additional fees, and not to many k@obs

POST 4Original post

Cool looking car, the Fuchs are nice but I almost preferred it on the Sport Classics. Lovely interior combo as well so I think it will sell easily.

POST 5Original post

Pistonheads is total garbage, waste of time. If you want to see what I mean try searching for a car on there, it's a terrible out dated user interface in need of a massive overhaul. ebay and AT for me.

POST 6Original post

OP, I've put a link to your ad in the 'what's an early 996 3.4' thread on PH as it appears quite a few would be owners might look at it to see what people think to ads that appear on the various platforms on the internet. PH will allow lots of pics with the listings (I think) so I suggest you get some more of the seats/interior & list the last 3 years servicing to back up the wording of your ad. GLWTS.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Many thanks!! I'll do that.........well I might do that!!? Went to the unit today, someone wanted a WhatsApp video of the car which I sent them and to be honest it's made me think do I actually want to NOT own that car!?! Bloody Porsche's......they get under your skin!

POST 8Original post

Good luck Jon, Was this the magazine featured car with a funky interior? Retrimmed buckets in Savannah or pasha? (I haven't been to find the advert sorry.) Gorgeous car either way! Get it sold though! Home is way more important than a car. Toys come and go but your home affects your life every single day. Yes I get more excitement out of a car than a house, but I get more of a content feeling when I have a nice home than when I have a nice car. You'll be back one day as like you say, they do get under your skin. Still though, they're bits of metal, easy come, easy go and you can try a different one next time. :thumb:

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well it sold, I wasn't quite as devastated as I thought I'd be!?! The Porsche shaped hole stayed vacant for all of three days!! Bought an x50 turbo!??! Already bought some seats, steering wheel and looking at wheels!! I really must learn to leave cars alone!!

POST 10Original post

That's the spirit! :thumb: I'm sure you'll have it looking as good as the old car in no time 8)
