Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My recently purchased 2004 C4S has a factory aerokit, and the wing has an integrated brake light. I notice that the standard brake light integrated into the lid doesn't light up (but the one on the wing does). Does anyone know if this is the expected behavior? I'm guessing it is since this is a factory install and the wing pretty much blocks the other brake light, but just want to make sure. Thanks!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks! Good point on the pic. Attaching one now in case it helps any future readers. From this angle, you can see the two brake light strips. The upper one (on the engine lid) doesn't light, but the lower one on the wing does. Thanks again.

POST 4Original post

I recently added a non-factory wing and made a wiring modification to have both third brake lights light up on my 997.1. I can post the reference if you're interested.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for offering. I'm not sure I'll do the mod but would be happy to take a look if you don't mind posting it. Someone else may be interested in the future as well. Thanks!
