Hi guys, Need a new control arm (drivers side). Would you replace the one on the other side too, just to keep it all balanced.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

It only makes sense that if one has worn to the point of replacement then the other probably has too.... If say you hit a kerb and damaged one you could argue only a need to replace one, however again, still better to keep the wear even. If this was a shopping trolley car I'd only change one but it's a Porsche so do both!
Thank for that Jeff, thats what I thought. Local guy doing it and he's just trying to save me money.
OPC replaced only my passenger side (apparently this gets worn faster due to poorer road conditions at the kerb side) and never said anything to me... Then again ther're muppets!
Most unlike an OPC to offer you the cheapest way out. I'm surprised they didn't insist on complete new suspension, front and rear :?:
They have a valid point, and really I agree with them. I do tend to spend lots on maintenance though so personally I'd still do both....
Turns out it was a temp fix, in the end I took it back and they did both lower arms on both sides, bloody muppets!
seagull you biatch :floor:
