i heard that the best exhaut sound is generated by Porsche's own Sport Exhaust System. is this true? btw, this option is not available for the '06 CS right?cause if it was available, i cant believe myself forgetting to tick this option. and how much, roughly, does it cost to install Porsche's exhaust if i order it separately, if anyone had ever done this. thank you

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I was just at the dealer and its not available in the system to buy yet. Maybe available around November. Easily $2K for parts, and I was quoted anywhere from $1000 to $1600 to install althought he was trying to persuade me to NOT order the sports exhaust so the installation price (which was just a wag) kept going up in $200 increments everytime I brought it up (he started at $1K).
Since no one has yet heard this exhaust how could they claim it has the 'best' sound? BTW, best to whom? Listen to different exhausts and pick the one you like best...
I AGREE WITH K-MAN S
K MAN: i heard this from my local mods shop. i asked around for opinion on which exhaust kit produce the sweetest sound for porsche car. they told me that they once had a show car with that option and the sound, according to them, is the best. it gives a whole sound, like a full complete circle of deep sound or rumbling. that's why i ask everyone here about other people opinion too. chows: wow for 4k i can get a full exhaust kit + headers elsewhere. that is just simply crazy. thank you for the info though. btw, i saw that option in the web but the dealer said that we cant order it?
tokz, What I am saying is that your local tuning shop has never heard the Cayman sports exhaust. Sure some older Porsche 911 sports exhausts sound great, other Porsche exhausts not so great IMHO, but the one for the Cayman hasn't even been heard yet so there is no way to formulate an opinion other than to say that older Porsche sport exhausts on other cars with other engines sound good to that particular person. Please listen to different exhausts yourself before deciding which you like best. /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/teeth_smile.gif
