Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Ken, I liked your article and asked you a couple of questions with my vote ( an obvious 10) I just realized that we are supposed to ask questions here, not there. Since you did not answer ( for the reasons above), I emailed Hawk withe the same question: Subject: Hawk Performance Comments: Pads for Porsche Cayman S your dealer's various Internet sites (including yours) do not seem to have the Porsche Cayman S in the menu option. What would be the reference of pads Hawk HP or equivalent for a 2006 model with or without wear indicators (with a hole in the pad to insert the sensors into.) I got this amazing answer : Hello Jean-Pierre Sorry for the delayed response, I had to get the correct info for you before I responded. The only information I could come up with is the Cayman S has the V8 4.5 liter engine and may not be listed as the Cayman S. Anyways; our part number that fits the 4.5 liter is HB501F.625 for Fronts and HB502F.610 for rears. They include holes for wear sensors. So, Ken, sorry to bother you, but I still need the info from you ... and for those who are dreaming of a bigger engine...it is here already...go get it !!! Cheers JP ...a.k.a. Bankerbiker ...still happy with the 'small' 3.4 l

Someone gave you the wrong info, that is for the CAYENNE S, not Cayman S. I'll see if I can find the part #'s on the box or something.

POST 3Original post

I know...it took several days to Geico to admit that , even though I had a lousy french accent , when I was spelling CAYMAN , it should not read CAYENNE...I have five or six insurance certificates with Cayenne...and my VIN written all over. They even called the dealer to tell him...in front of me ..that Cayman did not exist. Anyways, thanks for the help

According to the Porsche parts CD I have, the front and rear pads for an '06 Boxster S are the same as the '06 Cayman S. You might have better luck asking suppliers for Boxster S pads. At least they shouldn't confuse it with an SUV! Dave
