Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Want to replace the main rear window seal as i believe some water is getting in. Previous posts reported where to get the rubber seal from but; is the replacement easy....has anyone done this.....looks like the old seal will remove easily. Thoughts appreciated Thanks

POST 2Original post

The rear window is bonded to the body, and the rubber trim is just a gap-filler really. If it's leaking, then you would be best getting the professionals in.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Richard. This would therefore assume that the window wouldn't fall out if the rubber section was slightly removed. Might get a better look at the situation as i feel the leak is ONLY in the lower corner. From what your saying it seems as though it needs cleaning and resetting. If its not good will follow up as suggested. Many thanks again.
