POST 1Original post

I just got my car back from the guys at Cargraphic. I had them install their H&R lowering springs, paint the spoiler white, and black out the fog light 'spears' w/ a special matte black paint to match the black vent. Thought you all would like to see it.<input type="image" height="600" width="800" src="/UserFiles/lowered 2.JPG" />

POST 2Original post

Hey JP. The car looks very cool. I'm thinking of having the fog spears painted matt black too - and I think this picture has made that decision a whole lot easier ! Thanks Tonse Edited by - tonser on 02/24/2006 02:51:43 AM

POST 3Original post

JP, It looks good from that angle, but I like to see more. How about more pictures? A full front picture would be nice and one of the spoiler. I too have considered doing the same with the fog lights support beams, but I'm also considering some silver. I've seen some Audi with those in silver and they looked nice too.

POST 4Original post

Are those beams removable or do they have to be painted while on? Thanks! Rudy

POST 5Original post

nice ride! Im in on painting those fog spears...looks great! would you post some pics of your car from the side so we can see exactly how much the H&R's lowered it. Also, give us your feedback on what you notice in terms of the ride after lowering. I have Eibachs on mine, it would be nice to compare.

POST 6Original post

It would also be nice to get the H&R spring part # to see if it is their Boxster S spring set or something else. I'm assuming your car does not have PASM ?

POST 7Original post

jp, is it just me or does the white lip paint not match the car?

POST 8Original post

Answers to a couple posts... 1. The springs part numbers are on the cargraphic web site. They are specific to the cayman . Regarding their performance - I could not be any happier. The car still has a supple, but firm, ride. I have not had any problems w/ ground clearance, except (had this w/ the stock ride height too) that the black front wheelsplats hit the top of the tall speed bump at my house. 2. The fog spears are removable, as are the spoilers. 3. The spoiler color is a good match in person.

POST 9Original post

Yep, as I thought, Cargraphic is selling the Boxster S spring set as applicable to the Cayman S , again, these will work, but are not designed for the Cayman S and are not for PASM cars.

POST 14Original post

The car looks great. Makes me kinda wish I had ordered white.

POST 15Original post

Real nice, would love to see some other angles. Thanks Russ

POST 16Original post

Sorry, I've said this before, but I don't like white cars, because they look rubbish in the UK - something to do with our crap weather. HOWEVER, I've seen a couple of white Caymans and they look superb. This one looks really, really good - have you thought about painting the side vents black as well ? That is one MEAN looking CROC !

POST 17Original post

steve_a, I agree with you. White cars look gross in UK-type weather. Here in sunny UAE, white cars look like stellar man-made inventions on wheels. White cars need direct light, whether natural or synthetic.

POST 18Original post

I love the 'spears' painted black because that is the one thing about the Croc that I hate. Ever notice the spears on a VW bug?? Coincidence? I think not. Edited by - Flyer on 02/24/2006 1:57:12 PM

POST 19Original post

looks great! i chose white as well if you don't mind me asking how much for the spoiler and fog lights. R/

POST 20Original post

One of the reasons I fell in love with the Croc is those fog lights. But those spears in white don't look that great against that black background. They just stand out too much, especially around the light. I have to figure out how fix that. Paint black? Paint silver? Which one will it be? I've seen a red Audi with the spears painted silver from the factory. It looked nice. I hope somebody beats me to it and posts some pictures here. Rudy

POST 21Original post

Here is the only other photo I have till I get the car back from a clear bra install.<input type="image" height="600" width="800" src="/UserFiles/lowered 4.JPG" />

POST 22Original post

jpcayman, That looks just right. Awesome!/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/thumbsup.gif

POST 23Original post

That looks so sweet!! How much did the spring and labor cost you if you don't mind me asking? It is first on my list of things to do.

POST 25Original post

Maybe someone could photoshop it to have black side vents. It could look nice? Russ

POST 26Original post

Looks great! How much did the H&R springs lower the ride height?
