Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Do 11" wide rear wheels (et55) fit a narrow body 996 c2? Has any one got a definitive answer?? Ive been told they will and also that they wont and im now confused!!

POST 2Original post

Unusual offset, you'd be looking at an offset of 63 for a narrow body and 45 for a wide. Spacers only reduce the offset so I can't see how you'd get these (et55) wheels to fit a narrow body.

POST 3Original post

Hi, 11J rears will fit a narrow body 996, but depends on the offset (ET) The Sport Techno and GT3 are both 11J rear and approved for narrow bodied fitment. They both have ET63 though. ET63 and 11J rears require 17mm spacers to fit on a wide body. If it's the 11J Turbo II wheels (ie. lightweight hollow spoke) you're looking at, then I believe they have a different offset and will not fit. That's probably what the confusion is. PS - Ah, just read your post again. ET55 I believe are 11J Turbo off a wide bodied car. They also do NOT need spacers to fit on a wide bodied car, hence the strange offset. As such, they will not fit your car. Cheers, GD

POST 4Original post

If you're looking for some 18" Turbo wheels to fit a narrow body, you need 8J front and 10J rear (or preferably 7.5J front if it's pre-facelift...but in reality, it doesn't really matter). These are very common wheels and frequently come up on eBay. I know that PorschApart have some in stock and Jasmine Porsche regularly get these in as well....just make sure that they are the 996.xxx part number, not 993.xxx Cheers, GD
