Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I have searched for previous threads on this subject but I did not find anything exactly like this problem . Sorry if I missed it. My 07 Cs with 1800 miles has developed a very strange rattle.- in addition to the trunk clunk. At very low speed there is a noise like some kind of object is rolling foward in the area between the rear of the passenger seat and the glove box area. It is only apparent at low speed just before stopping. I can replicate the noise by hard braking at low speed. I cant tell if the noise is coming from inside the door or the rear area or the lower chassis. I have removed everything from all storage areas as well as the glove box. Has anyone had any similar noises?? Any ideas?? thanks in advance for any feedback.

POST 3Original post

i have that passenger noise when breaking, as of today. I can recreate this sound but it does not always work. I come to a stop and press the clutch then break. Once the car has stopped or I have a situation were i can release break just a bit to glide forward I hear a strange sound near the glove compartment, passenger door, and sometimes a bit behind the passenger seat. It sort of sounds like there are plastic loose parts tumbling around from the passenger front wheel to just behind the passenger seat. I might add that I heard something similar a few weeks ago when shifting from 4th gear to third while driving around, and down, an exit turning right. I heard this a couple of times on the way from Fl to NV, always right turn and while shifting from 4th too 3rd. I have not heard it sense... but the break sound just started a couple of days ago. It def. sounds like something is broken though. I am going to take my car to the dealer in Vegas, were I am right now. Added note: The sound seemed more mechanical then actualy having something rolling around. The sound was similar to something rolling around but it could be caused by a specific mechanical action of releasing the break at low speed. I can make the car slow down by downshifting and do not hear the sound.... at many differant speeds.

I have a tapping sound on the passengers side, right next to where the seat belt lies or below. It happens at speeds above 160kph on the highway.

Sound I dropped my Cayman off at the Porsche dealer in Vegas. I drove with the tech and of course the sound was not as loud as it is when i hear it other times. I am not sure but i think it happens louder when I drive longer. They said they would take a look. I also asked them to take a look at the TPMS. It keeps blanking out and then saying I have -2 pressure on different tires. On another note, I am here in Vegas for 3 months with just the Cayman. I asked for a loaner and was given one but not after they tried to make me feel guilty by telling me they are not supposed to give loaners to ppl that did not buy from them. Why should I feel bad about needing a loaner in a far away city when my new Porsche is not working correctly?

Unfortunately, I have the trunk thump, a rattle behind the passenger seat and my cup holders rattle. Got to have all of those checked at some point. I hate rattles.
