With all the bad weather recently I've noticed the front passenger carpet has been getting wet which led me to examine the sunroof drains. The car is off the road at the moment so I decided to remove the front carpet to properly dry it out and to make it easier to figure out where the water is getting in. I've poured water down each of the 4 corners of the sunroof and watched it come out of the respective wheel well, except for the front passenger side where all of the water runs into the passenger footwell! I have pulled back the headlining and removed the drain pipe from the sunroof on that side. Any water I pour into the top of the drain immediately appears inside the cabin in the passenger footwell which leads me to be believe there is a break in the pipe or it has become disconnected near the bottom where it exits the car (near number 2 on the diagram below). My question is....how do I gain access to that section of the pipe to fix it. I've removed the wheel arch liner where I think the pipe must exit but can't see it. It also doesn't seem to be visible from the passenger footwell (underneath the dashboard). Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

not done this on a 911 but my 124 series Merc had same issue, The section that pokes through the a-pillar had worn away. Get some nylon strimmer line and pass it down the existing hose. Hopefully that will get it out through the pillar Pull out the old hose and replace with a new one by passing it down over the strimmer line
Thanks, that's a great idea with the strimmer wire but I think I'd need to find the bottom end of the pipe to be able to do that....the bit where it exits the car. I'm also not sure if there is a connector down there....on the diagram it looks like the pipe might fit on to a 90 degree piece at the point where it leaves the car.
