Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

If you have Amazon Video and care about 911s, you should watch The Porsche 911 Story by Ulf Thomas. About every 911 of importance is covered along with the history of the icon and the people who collect them. Good opening sequence from Le Mans Walter Rohrl talks quite a bit and has some lines about how unique the engine sound and the doors close like a safe, the instant response, and also a bit of discussion on the fact its different from everything else there lends to its uniqueness and length of life ... ending with the design of the next generation (i.e., 991 successor) and the fact that ALL Porsche model designs flow from the 911. Good documentary.

Saw the show today. Funny they never mention the Cayman (its as if it doesn't exist) but they show Caymans at least a dozen times. Good Show!

POST 3Original post

I enjoyed the show. Made me really want to drive one of those classic 911s.

POST 4Original post

I never realized Walter Rohrl was so tall. Its amazing he fit in those Rally cars.
