Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

IMO there is little point to a sunroof. It's a dubious source of air, creates more turbulence and noise than real flow... It's great for a sunburn though. It's extra weight up top where you do not want weight, and it's in the way of a helmet when you decide to try DEs. Also another potential source of leak/repairs... If you want wind in your hair, a convertible is the way to go. If you want light, a 997 targa is great ! If not, I'd go sunroof-free... Of course that's just one guy's opinion...
Unless I'm completely off base, I don't think you can get a 911 ( 997.2 or 997.1 ) built without a sunroof. I know there were many complaints about this with the 997.1 GT3 where a sunroof was definitely not wanted by anyone. On the 997.2 GT3 's, they finally relented and remove it but I think the rest of the lineup still has it. EDIT: I see that you're in the UK, so this may be different. I know in the US the sunroof is standard...
Yes, we are different over here, you can specify with or without sunroof.. I think I'd prefer to go without it.
