Ok, I’m in New Delhi this week on business. Its my first time here and the roads are horrific. Driving here is truly comical. I chuckle everytime we hit to road to go anywhere. There are no lanes, potholes galore, traffic signals are optional, right of way is determined by who gets there first, and you share the road with rickshaws, motorbikes, trucks, buses, tractors, bicycles, pedestrians, pigs, goats, cows and anthing else that is brave enough to join in the madness. I really miss my car and can’t wait to drive the good roads again. Yes the speed limit sucks, but the quality of the roads is worth the $0.38/gallon tax we pay on gasoline. I guess everything is relative.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

And you forgot to mention the honking (Horn) It is impossible to go above 20 - 25 mph within the city limits. But once you are in the suburbs, you can drive like you stole it, no speed limits or speeding tickets. How long are you in India for?
Yes, the roads in the burbs may be a little better, but there are still too many variables that can spoil your day. I think my vehicle of choice here would be a Land Rover Defender. Something built like a tank and can handle the unexpected. Plus they look cool too. So true about the horns. Its funny how honking means something different in other cultures. In Micronesia it means “Hi!” –in the US it means “A** hole!” –in India it means “Ready or not I’m coming through!” Heading back home today. Can't wait to open up the 997 on a real road with a sense of order and tranquility.
Ahhh... It's good to be back. I took a good 200 mile run this weekend to San Diego and back just for the fun of it. No wife, no dogs, just me, the 997 and a little Van Halen for old time sake. Love the canyon roads through Ortega Highway. A bonus -- no speeding tickets.
