and picked up a new Carrera 4S. Needed the back seat for my family, but didn't want to give up my Porsche. Nice compromise, eh? I can't wait for the weekend. What, it's only Tuesday? Ugh!

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Congrats, don't forget to post up pics.

My trade-up wasn't quite as dramatic as yours, but I traded a base Cayman for a Carrera 4 for the same reason. I have to say, I miss the handling of the Cayman, but I still love the C4...it's sporty and elegant!
Made a similar move back in the spring....from a CS to a 997.2 C2S. On the ******** forums, I said I traded up, but on Planet-9 I traded down.
Thanks, guys. I will take some pics this weekend. There was nothing wrong with the Cayman-- and I do miss it already-- but without a back seat, it would have continued to sit in the garage. And, I have to say, the 997 is much more like my brother's 993 of the 90's. What a classic.
Wife went from a 2008 Cayman to a 2011 911TT ... Definitely not a trade down in any context. The 911 is a tad heavier and has some understeer due to the AWD but it still handles awesome, and the power is well, insane. Seats are more comfortable and I don't bang my head getting in and out -- bonus! --Ed
Congratulations! I think it's a great compromise...sitting in the garage does no one any good!
I follow ya. "Hey honey, we need more leg room...let's get another Porsche. No, wait, hear me out.." icsplz:. - RB.
