Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

What is the procedure for disabling the rear spoiler when you fit a aero kit spoiler?

POST 2Original post

You need a new wiring harness which plugs in to the loom at the back right hand side of the engine compartment. It comes with the Aerokit, or you can buy it separately. Part No: 996.612.070.51 (£74.47+VAT). There is a loop wire in the plug which stops the spoiler warning light from coming on. If you know someone who has got one, it might be worth trying to figure out what you would need to do to modify yours.

POST 3Original post

Apparently there is a DIY you can do on the existing harness. It's on rennlist somewhere but can't find it. You just connect a couple of pins together on the existing harness, which pins I don't konw :? Just get the loom, that part number is for the harness used if you don't have the extra brake light on your new wing, ie it disables the light that was on the pop up spoiler. If you have a light you need a different part number. I believe it ends in .55 instead of .51 but not 100%...
