Apparently Porsche is offering a 211 hp version of the 2.7L engine in some countries now. I thought they did this for CO2 tax reasons and nothing you can actually buy, much like the VW 4-pot Macan that only exists on paper, but the CO2 savings are tiny. Only 3g/100km! http://www.autoblog.com/2014/09/15/porche-boxster-... here are the translated specs: http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A//w...

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

It takes the performance back to the 2002 model 2.7 litre. They had 228 bhp then but were lighter.
This has been the case since the 986. In some countries it's cheaper to own/register a car that has 211HP or less. Edited by m040 on Tuesday 16th September 08:51
