What should the oil pressure be for a used 996? I have heard that it should be about 1 bar at tickover and 4 bar at 3000 rpm.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi, Mine doesn't do that (I don't think). Depends on how warm the engine is, it's usually around 4 at 3k, but at tickover, I think it's around 3....don't believe it's 1.
I have wondered about this also. A search on other forums brings up .... When hot:At least 1.0 bar at idle and 4.0 to 5.0 at 4000+ rpm When cold it stays around 4 or 5 bar.
Hi, I had a look today and I don't believe 1 minimum is right at idle. Mine idles right in the middle at around 3. @ 3k warm it's between 4-5. Cheers.
