sorry for a dumb question from a newbie but... saw a car I liked the look of, at a price we shall call X read the blurb and it said can be supplied with full service and warranty for X + £3,000 !! ...FFS ! This was almost a £40k car, if I bought a Ford Focus from a dealer for £8k I'd expect a warranty, does anyone actually by £40k cars without a warranty and have to depend on the sale of goods act :? I'm obviously a lot dumber than I look ( or not uh: ) Toodle Pip

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Depending on the car and the service required the cost could easily be an additional £3k if they are OPC prices. Of course you could probably get it serviced with a warranty much cheaper but all warranties are definitely not created equally. ...no idea what you look like .... :floor:
It is annoying the way indies advertise the warranty @ PLUS £1000 and dont include it in the price, but at the end of the day if you are going to spend £40k what is an extra grand for piece of mind? Remember that in 2 weeks indy's wont be able to offer you OPC warranty for 3 months Your best bet would be to buy private and hope the car has more than 90 days warranty on it, then you are sorted for the OPC warranty
