Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just having a look through 911's for sale and seeing the C4S's from £28k, I thought these would keep there money well ! So give it 10 years (forget the GT3/GT2/TT....) Which 996 will be the one to own ? My vote - 996 C4S Cab, great looking car ! (Forget the pre/post face lift)

POST 2Original post

I chose the 4S in it's hard roof derivative. It's lines and shape will endear it to the public for many, many years to come :thumb:

POST 3Original post

Sorry guys, but I'm biased and a narrow body supporter... I'm not a fan of wide-body 996s. FWIW I think all 996s are all too big anyway - mine takes up more road than my LWB Isuzu Trooper already! Crazy, for something that's meant to be a sports car IMO... Now if I could have the modern bits in something the size of a 993 it would be just perfect...

POST 4Original post

What about the 2 special editions? - Millennium and 40th Anniversary. Both should hold their value better due to exclusivity, the 40th Anniversary especially as it has a power upgrade as well.

POST 5Original post

I totally agree, the 40th should hold it's value the best. It's got the best of all variants. Sport suspension, LSD, X-51 power, RWD, Narrow Body but with Turbo front end (for those that like it) and exclusivity due to limited production numbers...

POST 6Original post

Where is the C2 Cab option Daniel :?: , esp the 2004 model in Seal Grey

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

<goingtogetshot> The 993 Cab has not held its money well, so I have left it off the list ! 40th were made in so small number, and you could add any option from it to a coupe !

POST 8Original post

Another supporter of the C4S coupe. Otherwise I would have picked the GT3. ~ Maxie

POST 9Original post

True but that's from new. Surely the point is which standard variant would hold it's value best, the Anniversary is a standard variant in it's own right, no? It's not a C2 with options, it's a "40 Jahre 911"...

POST 10Original post

i voted for 996 C4S (for obvious reasons ;-) ) but the way prices are going i am increasingly thinking of just holding on to her forever!

POST 11Original post

If it was available in other colours and didn't such an awful front end, the Turbo look front on a narrow body is hideous

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Don't worry.. We are talking 10 years time..
