Hi all, I am after some new seats for my 996 as the standard chairs lack support and are too high. Looking for some aftermarket folding buckets - anyone have some recommendations for not stupid money? Doesn't need to be a competition seat. I think Mr Sibley was going to do a video on his choice but not seen anything yet.
Not much choice I'm afraid. I looked and Konig was one option for aftermarket. The Recaro Sportster do look very nice as well. I think there was some Gt3 rep style but not sure you can still get them.

Recaro CS are really nice looking option. I've seen these in some others including 997's. How do you find they fit in the 996? Any issues?
Mine are from a lotus evora so weren't a direct swap and only issue I have is that been quite tall then when the seat is right back the backrest adjuster hits the inner carpeted sill so I just adjusted it and then removed the adjuster knob and popped it in the door pocket should I need it,may not have this issue with seats straight from recaro but it's not really an issue for me.
I heard some people found CS's tricky to fit into a 996. Believe it's the same regardless how they were sourced. Glad you got it sorted. They look great! Happy with the comfort level?
Ah I see,wasn't sure if it was just because they were previously from a lotus but maybe it's just the way they are in the 996 😂 Can't complain though as I think they are a great looking seat and are very comfortable and a big improvement over the standard seats ðŸ‘ðŸ¼
Recaro Speeds are a great seat, could be found in Integra Type R's and Evo's back in the day. Still going and wont break the bank!
