Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

As I start receiving my replacement parts for my brakes and suspension refresh, I notice that the parts may have little to no corrosion protection. What are your thoughts on prepping the parts, and what with. For instance, the brakes protection plates are nice and shiny, but that won't be for long after a German winter... Obviously I'm less concerned about cosmetics as I am to make these last as long as they can. Pic for attention

Being aluminum you could have them anodized. Painting works too. Generally though, they will last a decade without doing anything to them and in a decade of driving on salted roads you'll have body rust to worry about. Look at the UK based forums to get a taste of what to expect in that regard.
