I just received these two amazing replacement gear sticks from Steve Slayford at the 996 Shed. He's just started manufacturing these himself on a vintage 1940's lathe. I went for a classic 917 / Carrera GT striped version with a brushed aluminium stem and a Matt Black/Brushed Aluminium version as I couldn't make my mind up which I liked best. Steve can do various finishes but it's best to ask him exactly what's available. Here's some photos to give you an idea of the finished look.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I like those a lot, especially tje 917 wooden one. What is the cost?
Indeed. Looks v good. Is he planning a manual lever and knob too?
I think Steve is a member on here, or you can always message him @the996shed on Instagram and ask him any questions on what he can manufacture. I just checked his Insta and the Tip Knobs are £225 posted in the UK and whatever extra for abroad.
