Well I bought a v8 manual R8 sounded like a sewing machine so parted with it.. Since I've been a young man I've always wanted a Turbo, so just today purchased a very nice 996 Turbo.... ideally I wanted a manual but the spec and history on this top is just for me. Need to swap the buttons to paddles if anyone can help, doe come with AMG conversations kit ðŸ‘

What do you think of it compared to the C2? My only Turbo has been a 930 so nothing like a 996. I've fancied a 996 turbo for a while to complement my c2 but don't laugh, was considering v8 R8

It's unreal, it has the Tubi exhaust system and lovely spec pick it up Tuesday so will share some pics ðŸ‘

Same here, I'm thinking about jumping into one. Not selling my 996 though as I KNOW sellers remorse would be unbearable. R8 looks like a sound investment though so might be worth a punt.

That fact I've Bought a 996 Turbo should answer the question on the R8, they are nice but unless you buy the v10 they sound very average. I'm sure both the R8 & the Turbo will hold there money and appreciate some on the way. R8s are definitely bottoming out so time to strike a deal on one ðŸ‘

My friend had a first year production V8 R8 with a Miltek exhaust and it sounded incredible. He latter owned the v10 with a standard exhaust and recently said if he had another it would be the v8 as it sounded better. I think you've done the right thing getting a tiptronig turbo. I had a loan of a manual turbo for a few months and I always felt it would have suited an auto better.

Yeah I've always had Manual 996s but the extra power works well with the Tip tbf ðŸ‘
