I've found a used Genuine Porsche CD changer on EBay, (part # 997.645.140.02) and was wondering if it would fit in my 2007 Cayman. I've searched and also looked at the Denison installs, and it seems there is some wiring already present in that area; i've taken a quick look and noticed a small thin plug and thin wiring which looks like the power cable off the other threads. I've the standard radio with sound package plus, would be great if this is plug and play!!!

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

As long as the CD Changer is one that works in your car (usually those built at the same time or later will work, earlier models may or may not). You will need a MOST fiber optic line to plug in to the back of the changer and into the MOST port behind the brake assist unit, that will run you $75 or so, then the power should come from the black plug shown in some of the dension articles. You may or may not have to then get your car programmed on a PIWIS machine at your dealer to accept the addition.
Just don't use a drill in the area of the CD Changer.
